Equipment & Workmanship Warranty

How manufacturer coverage, our workmanship warranty, and installation support apply to your project.

Effective date: September 23, 2026

MonsterTech.com installs cameras, networks, access control, audio, and smart devices from different manufacturers. The manufacturer's written warranty for the exact product controls its equipment coverage. We will identify the make and model in your project paperwork when available and can provide or direct you to the manufacturer's warranty terms before purchase.

What a manufacturer warranty typically covers

A manufacturer warranty generally addresses a covered defect in the product's materials or manufacturing during the stated period. Depending on that manufacturer's terms, the remedy may be repair, replacement, parts, or another stated solution. Coverage periods, claim procedures, shipping costs, and who pays for diagnosis, removal, reinstallation, or programming vary by product. A replacement product may be new or refurbished if the manufacturer's warranty permits it.

The warranty does not automatically promise that a device has a feature it was not sold with or that its performance will match a different model. Camera night lighting, motion detection, recording, phone notifications, and other functions depend on the selected model, settings, site conditions, and, where relevant, internet or third-party services. Your written estimate and the product specifications should describe any feature essential to your purchase.

Common limits to check

Manufacturers may exclude damage caused by improper use, physical damage, lightning or power events, water exposure outside a product's rating, unauthorized alteration that caused the failure, normal wear, consumables such as batteries, or a third-party service or network outage. These are examples, not a substitute for the actual manufacturer's terms. Work by an independent technician does not automatically void a consumer product warranty; whether resulting damage is covered depends on the cause and the written warranty.

Software, apps, cloud features, subscription services, and security updates may have separate terms and support periods. A hardware warranty does not by itself guarantee continued availability of those services.

MonsterTech workmanship warranty

We warrant our installation workmanship for one year from project completion. If our installation work causes a problem during that period, we will correct that work without an additional labor charge. This warranty covers the work we performed. An unrelated equipment defect, depleted battery, changed setting, internet or utility outage, customer damage, or a later alteration that caused the problem is not a workmanship defect. We will assess the cause rather than treating every later change as an automatic cancellation of coverage.

First 30 days of installation support

For the first 30 days after installation, there is no service call fee for support related to work MonsterTech.com completed. If diagnosis shows an unrelated issue or work outside the original scope, we will explain any proposed charges before performing that work. After 30 days, a diagnostic visit may have a service fee; there is no charge to correct a covered workmanship defect during the one-year period.

Manufacturer claims and onsite labor

If MonsterTech supplied the equipment, contact us and we can help identify the applicable manufacturer claim process. If a manufacturer approves a covered product repair or replacement, onsite troubleshooting, removal, shipping, reinstallation, and programming are included only when the manufacturer warranty or your written agreement says they are. We will explain any labor charge before scheduling uncovered work. An equipment warranty is separate from MonsterTech's workmanship warranty.

For customer-supplied equipment, the customer handles the product warranty with the seller or manufacturer. MonsterTech still warrants its own installation workmanship for one year, provided the reported issue is caused by that work.

How to request support

Call (407) 268-6428 or email Sales@monstertech.com with your name, project address, invoice number if available, product model if known, and a description or photo of the problem. We may need to inspect the system to determine whether the issue falls under the manufacturer warranty, our workmanship warranty, or a separately priced service.

This page is a general explanation. The manufacturer's written terms, your project agreement, and applicable law determine your specific rights.
